Bridge2Fun has conceived an unconventional campaign supporting the launch of VOD platform ShowMax on the Polish market.
The first phase of the campaign featured global film star Ewan McGregor and Polish famous director Patryk Vega. The campaign uniquely combined advertising and a full-blown film production. Its underlying intention was to revive interest in short films.
The film’s script was co-authored by Patryk Vega. The cast of famous Polish actors who usually play in Vega’s film including Andrzej Grabowski, Piotr Stramowski, Olga Bołądź, and Tomasza Oświeciński were joined on set by Ewan McGregor.
The campaign centers around boredom as an emotional state that generates dangerous ideas and spurs into action, which may lead to negative consequences.
This is where ShowMax comes to the rescue as a response to boredom. Boredom resulting from the hell of indecision or the simple fact there is nothing interesting to watch, has served for each of the directors as starting point for the script of their respective short films.
